GAME DAY DIP – This recipe is a great, easy-to-prep-ahead creamy dip for movie night or game day.

BATCH IT – Got a crowd? This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled.

What Is Curry Dip Made Of?

Ingredients needed to make a Curry Dip.

SOUR CREAM and MAYONNAISE – The ultimate combination for a creamy base.

CURRY POWDER – The star of the show, and this is your chance to customize this dip to your own liking. My family doesn’t like uber-spicy dips, so I tend to go with a mild curry powder, but you can choose whichever one you like best.

KETCHUP – Use your favorite brand of ketchup.

WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE – While it might be a tongue-breaker, Worcestershire sauce is a powerhouse of flavor. It’s sweet, tangy, savory, and salty!

GARLIC SALT – If you don’t have garlic salt, you can use garlic powder and salt.

GREEN ONION – This is optional, and I mostly use it for garnish, although it also adds a nice bit of crunch.

FRENCH ONION DIP It’s creamy, sweet, and tangy with delicious, rich flavors that never disappoint. Make your next party an event to remember with this crowd-pleasing dip.

Variations

GREEK YOGURT or PLAIN YOGURT – If you’re looking for a healthier curry dip, you can easily use Greek Yogurt or Plain Yogurt instead of sour cream and mayonnaise. It’s also nice and tangy but has fewer calories.

ONION POWDER – Use this if you don’t have any garlic salt on hand. It will add some interest and play well with the Worcestershire sauce, curry powder, and ketchup.

MUSTARD SEED – Add a dash for an extra kick and some additional heat.

TURMERIC – You can add a touch of turmeric if you want to boost the curry flavor. Turmeric has an earthy and peppery flavor. If you add some, add an eighth to a quarter of a teaspoon. You don’t want it to overpower the other ingredients.

Serving Ideas

Making a veggie platter is quick, easy, and a great way to do healthy snacking. Some of our favorite vegetables go great with this dip: carrots, grape or cherry tomatoes, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, or red bell pepper.

But you can also add some crackers, potato chips, and pita bread. All of which are great for dipping. For Curry Dip, I also love to serve some naan bread. (Trader Joe’s Garlic naan bread is delicious; if you don’t mind garlic on a snack platter, choose plain naan bread.)

You can also use this dip as an alternative to Chipotle mayo and turn our Chipotle Chicken Wraps into Curry Chicken Wraps!

So you can quickly see how this is not just a delicious dip but can also be an amazing sandwich spread.

Leftovers

Store the leftover dip in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

I’ve been looking for a curry dip for the longest time and just came across yours. My mom made to make curry dip every year on New Year’s Eve but I don’t have her recipe anymore… can’t wait to try it. Thanks for sharing!
