Ingredients for Crock-Pot Chicken Spaghetti on a countertop.

CHICKEN – I used boneless skinless chicken breasts in this recipe. You could also use chicken tenders if that’s what you have on hand.

PASTA – Any cooked pasta will work in this recipe! I used regular spaghetti noodles, but thin spaghetti, linguine, cavatappi, or penne would all work well.

CHEESE – For flavor, I prefer sharp Cheddar cheese in this recipe, but you could substitute Cheddar jack or Mozzarella. Freshly shredded cheese will melt the best. For a slightly different direction you could also use some velveeta cheese.

SPICES – Use salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and paprika to create a flavorful base for your Crockpot Chicken Spaghetti. Add Rotel tomatoes for a bit of zest. For a spicier kick, sprinkle in some red pepper flakes to taste.

Planning and Leftovers

STORE – Allow leftover chicken spaghetti to cool to room temperature before storing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

FREEZE – I don’t recommend freezing this recipe.

REHEAT – Sprinkle a little water over the pasta before reheating in the microwave, to help the sauce reconstitute.

Serving Suggestions

CRISP GREEN SALAD – Serve a fresh green salad with a light vinaigrette to add a refreshing contrast to the rich and creamy pasta.

GARLIC BREAD – Serve slices of cheeys Air Fryer Garlic Bread on the side to sop up any remaining sauce and add a satisfying crunch.

BROCCOLI – Pair with steamed or roasted broccoli for a side that complements the creamy texture of the spaghetti.

Recipe Success Tips

VOID OVERCOOKING – To keep the chicken moist and tender, start checking it after 3 hours; overcooking can dry it out.

CREAM CHEESE CONSISTENCY – Cut the cream cheese into small pieces before adding to the crockpot to help it melt more evenly throughout the dish.

PASTA PERFECTION – Cook the spaghetti just until it’s al dente before adding it to the crockpot. This prevents it from becoming too soft when it absorbs the sauce.

Notes

SLOW COOKER TIMES

Different slow cooker models may distribute the heat differently and cook the chicken a little faster or slower, so you will have to check on it. Your chicken breasts may take as little as 3-4 hours to cook through, maybe even less if they are small. Check the internal temperature (165º Fahrenheit for chicken) with a meat thermometer. Once the chicken has cooked through you can proceed with the recipe as described above.

  1. 4 stars
Made this this weekend and loved it! I did use Mozzerella rather than cheddar, and it was a little less thick than I typically like but the flavor and ease was great! I will make this often.

  2. This will be a great time to use the crockpot in this heat wave we are enduring this summer. Thank you so much for sharing
