Awesome Gift Ideas for Tech Girls: Perfect Gifts for Girls who like Gadgets, Function & Style

Hopefully, this Gift Guide for the Tech Girl will make the task of finding the perfect gift for her a lot easier.

I am super excited to share my first gift guide with you and had so much fun putting it together. Thinking about gifts for others is one of my favorite things to do. If you’re not into nerdy tech things it can be a little tricky.

The Ultimate Gift Guide for The Tech Girl ranges from lower priced items such as the pop socket to bigger splurges like the Bose headset.

1) PopSockets

Pop Socket holder for iPhones, Androids, or any other larger smartphones

What’s a Popsocket? A popsocket is a simple smartphone accessory you can attach to the back of your phone. Once installed you can hold the phone between your index and middle finger while easily typing (or taking selfies) with your thumb. It’s perfect for those multi-tasking moments.

2) Soft iPhone Cover

Super cute mint green iPhone Cover

Cute iPhone covers are almost guaranteed to be a hit with any tech loving girls. Yes, we love our gadgets. We also want them to look attractive.

Ninja gift-giving tip: If you don’t know what iPhone model the recipient owns, casually ask them about their phone in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Any true tech girl will be happy t tell her what model she’s currently using (and probably what model’s eying next)

Maybe ask for some help with your phone and find a way to weave in a question about her phone. There are so many adorable covers these days that you’ll have a lot of choices.

In general, I’d recommend looking for one that is shockproof.

3) Bamboo Lap Desk

Bamboo Lap Desk for Laptops

I have owned and loved this particular model for several years, and it was indeed a gift from a family member a few years back.

There are plenty of models that looked promising. This model is on the larger side which is perfect for me because I like to connect a wireless mouse to my laptop when I work.

If you’ve never seen the person in your life do this, you might be better off with a slightly smaller size.

4) Power Strip with 6 USB chargers

Power Strips with USB chargers build-in are fantastic. Especially nowadays when we have more and more devices that need charging.

The iClever Power Strip comes with six USB outlets. If the gift is for a tech girl who travels a lot she’ll appreciate it even more.

Bringing a power strip to places like airports or convention centers will also give her the opportunity to connect with others.

Everybody likes to be nice to the girl with some extra power. 😉

5) Apple Wireless Magic Keyboard

Apple Wireless Keyboard with Number Pad

The Apple Gods have finally heard our pleas for a wireless keyboard with numeric keypad.

Ok, that may go down as one of the geekiest things I’ve said in a long time.

But if your work on the computer at some point includes entering a bunch of numbers, this keyboard will come in handy and speed up your workflow.

6) Portable Photo Printer

HP Sprocket Photo Printer

This is the only item that I don’t directly own, but we own the Polaroid ZIP Mobile Printer for a couple of years and like it a lot.

That one is a bit buggy and is definitely on the slower side, so I’ve looked for an updated model.

It uses the same Zink Paper for ink-less printing and gets great reviews. We’ve used this a lot for card writing over the years.

The HP Sprocket takes that same technology to a new level and provides a product that is not just functional, but also aesthetically pleasing and will delight your tech girl. Don’t forget to buy some extra Zink Photo printer paper.

My old Polaroid ZIP Mobile Printer printer holds ten sheet packets, and you’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll want to start printing more images.

7) Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones

Bose Quite Comfort 35 Wireless Noise Canceling Headset

My dad knows that I am an audiophile and three years ago he surprised me the Bose Quiet Comfort 25 Noise Canceling Headset, and I seriously fell in love with this thing. It was the best noise canceling headset I’d ever tried.

At some point, I mentioned to him how much I love it, but if there were one thing I wish I could, it would be a wireless version (by then I’d had to replace the cable a few times). He made a mental note, and last year he found out that Bose had developed my dream headset. It’s now a year later, and I can honestly say this has been one of the best Christmas gifts ever.

I am currently on my second pair because one day in the early summer I left my headset outside and found it the next morning. This would have been ok had it not been for the torrential downpour that night. My husband knowing how much I loved this headset secretly ordered a replacement.

The reason I mention this story is that I feel that the second headset is an updated version of the initial Bose Quiet 35.

I have it hooked up to four devices, and it connects super quickly. The charge lasts for a long time and hasn’t diminished over time. The Bose QuietComfort is my personal favorite item of the entire Gift Ideas For Tech Girls and I use it each and every day.

8)  Philips Hue Starter Kit

Philips Hue Starter Kit

The Philips Hue has been around for some years now and was gifted to us a few years ago by my parents.

The idea of smart lighting has come a long way over the years, but the Philips hue takes it to the next level. You can label each light individually.

So for instance, if you have one bulb in a bedroom lamp and another one in the family room you can name and control each bulb from your phone.

There is a little hub that you’ll have to connect to your router, but it’s simple: plug-and-play.

You can decide to change the color and color temperature to match your mood. There are a few presets but the fine tuning is up to you.

My husband who occasionally works with lighting designers has commented on how much a subtle change in light color can change his mood and lift his productivity when working at home.

Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed the Gift Ideas for The Tech Girl and found some inspiration along the way. What are your favorite cold appetizers for a crowd? I’d love to see your ideas! Be sure to use the hashtag #caplife on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and share your pictures with the community.
