This no-bake strawberry tiramisu is a dessert hit. Every single time. It’s an easy, no-bake dessert that’s perfect for making ahead of time. Get ready for your guests to do some serious oohing and aahing.

Like our popular no-bake Strawberry Cheesecake, this dessert is for warm summer days.

Strawberry Tiramisu is a delicious spin on traditional Tiramisu. It is a classic Italian, no-bake dessert with ladyfinger cookies, a creamy liqueur filling, and chocolate.

Instead of using coffee and chocolate, we’re using strawberries and orange flavors.

Ingredients needed to make no bake Strawberry Tiramisu.

LADYFINGERS. You can find these in the cookie aisle in most major supermarkets or order them online.

MASCARPONE – This rich Italian cream cheese is part of the delicious cream filling. Make sure to allow the mascarpone cheese to rise to room temperature.

HEAVY CREAM. To get perfectly whipped cream, pre-chill the bowl before you start whisking the heavy cream with the electric mixer.

POWDERED SUGAR – Make sure you sift the powdered sugar before adding it to the heavy whipping cream. Otherwise, you end up with a cream filling with tiny sugar clumps.

STRAWBERRIES – You could use frozen strawberries, but I strongly recommend using fresh strawberries for this recipe. There is something incredibly delicious about fresh, juicy strawberries, especially in spring and summer.

STRAWBERRY PRESERVE – Think of strawberry preserves as an additional flavor booster. But if you don’t have any on hand, you can skip this ingredient. However, I highly recommend you don’t.
I use the entire jar of this brand, which equals 13 ounces. Some strawberry preserve jars come in 12-ounce jars. That’s fine, too.

ORANGE JUICE –. Although fresh-squeezed orange juice is always best, you can use simple bottled orange juice.

ORANGE LIQUEUR – My favorite orange liqueur is Cointreau. You can also use Triple Sec, which is much more affordable and has a very similar taste.

Variations and Additions

Mascarpone. You should be able to find mascarpone cheese in every supermarket. But if you can’t, you substitute it with plain cream cheese.

Quick Recipe for Cream Cheese Substitution: Combine 16 ounces of full-fat cream cheese with 1 stick of softened, unsalted butter. Beat with an electric mixer until creamy. Proceed with the recipe as described above.

Step-by-step instructions how to make the mascarpone cream filling for the Strawberry Tiramisu.

Adding the second layer of dipped ladyfingers, spreading the strawberry preserve and the second layer of mascarpone cream filling.
  1. MIX & WHIP – Mix the mascarpone and powdered sugar in one bowl. In another, whip the heavy cream until fluffy. Combine these two mixtures.
  2. DIP & LAYER – Mix orange juice and half the orange liqueur in a bowl. Dip ladyfingers in this mix and lay them in a dish. Spread half the cream mix on top, then add half the strawberry preserve and half the sliced strawberries.
  3. REPEAT – Do the second layer the same as the first. After finishing, pour the rest of the orange liqueur on top.
  4. CHILL & SERVE – Cover the dish and put it in the fridge for a few hours. Serve it cold, with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or some fresh strawberries on top, if you like.

But if you want to take your strawberry lasagna to the next level, look for a brand called ‘Sterilgarda Mascarpone.’ I believe it’s an import, and I’m lucky because close to my house is an authentic Italian delicatessen store that carries many traditional Italian brands.

Recipe Success Tips

TAKE YOUR TIME: Great tiramisu needs time to set and let the flavors mix. It’s best to prepare it a day before you plan to serve it. The wait will be worth it!

DIP QUICKLY – When soaking the ladyfingers in the orange juice and liqueur, be quick. They should be wet but not falling apart. This will give them just the right texture!

CHILL THE CREAM – Make sure to use chilled heavy cream. It whips up fluffier and blends better with the mascarpone.

PICK RIPE STRAWBERRIES – Using ripe, sweet strawberries will make your dessert even more delicious. The strawberries are a star in this dish, so make them shine!

Leftovers and Storage

STORE – If you have any leftovers, put them in an airtight container and store it in the fridge. Your tiramisu should stay tasty for up to 3 days. Just be sure to keep it cold!

FREEZE – You can also freeze your tiramisu for longer storage. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap, then put it in a freezer-safe container or bag. It stays fresh in the freezer for about a month.

To eat, thaw it in the fridge overnight before serving.

Remember, the texture may change after freezing, but it will still taste great! Enjoy your delicious dessert whenever you want it.

Ingredients

Instructions

PREPARE THE FILLING

  • In a large bowl, combine the room temperature mascarpone and powdered sugar. Mix them together until they are well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the chilled heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

PREPARE SOAKING LIQUID

  • Combine the orange juice with ½ cup of the orange liqueur. Stir well.

ASSEMBLE THE TIRAMISU

  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the soaking liquid, ensuring they’re wet but not soggy.
  • Arrange a layer of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  • Spread half of the strawberry preserve on top of the cream.
  • Arrange half of the sliced strawberries on top of the preserve.
  • Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers, cream, preserve, and strawberries.

FINISH AND CHILL

  • Drizzle the remaining ¼ cup of orange liqueur over the top of the dessert.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight if possible. This will allow the flavors to meld together and the ladyfingers to soften.

Amazing recipe! Only problem is your layering directions don’t match the recap summary at the end, so a bit confusing. Taste is great though.
