Ingredients needed to make Bacon Stuffing Rolls.

BACON – I use regular sliced bacon for this recipe. It crisps up nicely while still being easy to wrap around the stuffing. You can also use thick-cut bacon for a heartier roll, but keep in mind that it may need a few extra minutes in the oven to get crispy.

STUFFING – I choose a traditional stuffing mix, which is quick to prepare and full of flavor. You can use your favorite recipe or even leftover stuffing from a previous meal. The stuffing adds a savory depth to the bacon rolls.

Leftovers and Storage

STORE – Place any leftover bacon rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They’ll stay fresh for up to 3 days.

FREEZE – To freeze, arrange the bacon rolls on a baking sheet and freeze until solid. Transfer to a freezer-safe bag or container, where they’ll keep for up to 2 months. Reheat directly from frozen in the oven at 350°F until heated through.

REHEAT – For the best results, reheat the bacon rolls in the oven at 350° Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes until crispy. You can also reheat them in an air fryer for a few minutes at 375° Fahrenheit.

MAKE AHEAD – You can prepare the bacon rolls up to a day in advance. Simply roll them, place them on the baking sheet, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until ready to bake.

Recipe Success Tips

FLATTEN – Pressing the bacon flat ensures even cooking and makes it easier to roll around the stuffing.

SECURE – If the rolls tend to unravel, use toothpicks to hold them together during baking.

CRISP – To get perfectly crispy bacon, make sure to bake the rolls on a rack or parchment paper so they aren’t sitting in grease.

Preparing festive dinners requires planning and usually quite a bit of work. Thankfully, this recipe is so easy it won’t add much to your to-do list.

Notes

Bacon – You can make bacon rolls with just one slice of bacon or use two slices for a larger roll. If you use two slices, just lay them side-by-side with the fatty sides overlapping each other a little bit. Press the overlap together with your fingers so the strips of bacon bind to one another.
If you are making large bacon rolls I plan for 1 roll per guest if you are making smaller sized bacon rolls, plan for 2-3 rolls per person.

My family loved them but suggested I add sausage to the stuffing. Wow really kicked up the flavor of the stuffing. Either way both a success.
