Notes

Tips for Melting Chocolate
Melting chocolate in the microwave is easy. Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe container and heat them on high for 30 seconds. Remove the bowl from the microwave and briefly stir the chocolate. Return to the microwave and heat for another 30 seconds, stir and add another 30 seconds.
Each microwave is a bit different, but for reference, it takes 1:30 minutes in my microwave to melt 1 ½ cups of chocolate chips.
The chocolate doesn’t have to be completely melted. A few semi-melted pieces are perfect and will add texture to the dough.
Melt the chocolate first. This way the chocolate can cool down a bit while you are preparing the batter.
If you don’t want to use a microwave, place a heat-proof bowl on top of a slightly smaller pot filled with simmering water. Stir constantly until the chocolate is melted.
