  • Preheat the oven to 350° Fahrenheit and grease a 9-inch cast iron skillet.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the melted butter with both sugars until smooth.
  • Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract and whisk until fully combined.
  • Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder until a soft dough forms.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula until evenly distributed.
  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared skillet and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center is slightly gooey.
  • Cool for 5 minutes, then top with ice cream and your favorite toppings before serving warm.
