Green Bean Casserole

This is going to be your new favorite Green Bean Casserole! Tender green beans are paired with a creamy, garlic cheese sauce and then topped with cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions. This is the ultimate cheesy side dish that you can serve at holiday or weeknight dinners.

  • Preheat the oven to 350º Fahrenheit and grease a 9x13” casserole dish.
  • Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a large pot, add the garlic and sauté for about 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Add the cubed Velveeta, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper to the pot and cook over low heat. Stir frequently, until the Velveeta is completely melted and smooth. About 8 minutes.
  • Add the thawed green beans to the cheese sauce and gently fold until the green beans are coated.
  • Pour the cheesy green beans into the casserole dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and the crispy fried onions over the green beans.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the casserole is bubbling hot and the topping is crispy.

Notes

Make sure there is no excess water in the green beans after thawing or the sauce can become watery.
