Whisk milk, eggs, sugar, orange juice and zest, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl. Transfer into a shallow baking dish.
Dip halved croissants into the batter and turn until well coated.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet and cook until golden brown on each side. About 3 minutes per side.
Transfer onto a plate, and garnish sprinkle with powdered sugar, and/or drizzle with maple syrup.
