Preheat oven to 350º Fahrenheit. Line a standard 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar and stir until well combined.
Mash banana slices in a separate large mixing bowl. Mix in the mayonnaise, egg, and vanilla with the mashed bananas.
Add the dry ingredients and mix until smooth. There may still be a few lumps from the bananas - this is fine.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips and stir until all the chocolate chips are well incorporated.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with no batter.
