In reply to Karen. I've had readers who have tried it with hot honey and they seemed to enjoy it. Bourbon! That sounds like a brilliant idea. If you try, I'd love to know how works out. Instinctually I can see that bourbon and sweet potato could be an amazing combination.

Everyone loved these sweet potatoes. I baked them at a lower temp while turkey was baking and then upped the temperature when I took turkey out eventually putting broiler on. Also I used half regular honey and half Mike’s hot honey for an extra kick.

In reply to Sandy. Great question! While you can cook sweet potatoes in a crockpot for a tender and flavorful result, they won't get the crispy, caramelized exterior like they do when oven-roasted. The crockpot method is great for a softer, stew-like texture, but for that caramelized crunch, sticking to the oven is best.

In reply to Helen. Thank you for your feedback and reach out. I think this can easily be fixed. Try leaving them in a little longer. Towards the end, if they haven't caramelized properly, add another 2-3 minutes, check again, and adjust upwards if necessary. Ovens can vary greatly, my old GE Profile gas oven was a lot faster than my current GE Cafe (also gas) . A few extra minutes can make a world of difference. Hope that helps.
